Video: Driving blind!? Yet again Thai motorcyclist fails to see the level crossing barrier

Dash cam footage from a car on the way to Prajinburi earlier this week showed a woman on a motorcycle ride straight into a barrier at a level crossing.

She comes off at speed and is lucky not to suffer serious injury or even death.

The poster of the clip on the "Rorn Rorn" (Hot Hot) site used the hashtag in Thai #luckynottobebeheaded and asked: "How on earth did she not see that?"

He said that the woman was not badly hurt, she just had some blood on her neck.

Thai Rath said it was the second similar case in recent days after a woman in Chumpon rode into a barrier.

The video ends too early. After she gets on her feet, does she grab for her smartphone that flew away? Was her LINE chat interrupted by this bloody barrier?

yep it's most definitely the train barrier builders fault, they have positioned this barrier at totally the wrong height and have not allowed for the blind spot caused by mobile phone operation....she

Typically on her mobile and not looking at where she is going lucky not to be seriously hurt without wearing a helmet

She's lucky it didn't snap her neck.

The video is too blurry to tell for sure but very likely she was on the phone(!)/distracted.

"Spatial awareness" does not translate into Thai, most of us stay aware of our surroundings, if we see something that could pose a danger we become more aware!

Nor here, they live in a dreamworld where they believe they are indestructible! Someone remarked recently that they are a "primitive" people, they really are, they haven't the sense to realise just how easily they can get hurt!

I also think that she should sue the driver of the pick-up, after all, although the video may be of low standard, its quite possible that some of her close friends and family may recognise her and call her a stupid dumb broad, or something else equally unfair and harmful to her delicate nature.

After all of that, she missed the train!!!

:sorry:

She must have been on the phone with her dealer. The moped superdriver and the car driver can be lucky that the bike didn't hit the rider and his/her car

Why, after admitting that there was no video of it and therefore no reason to say it, would you just make that up?

Nothing to suggest that she was on her phone at the time apart from Thaivisa wishful-thinkers.

I speculate many times that they are not reading road conditions ahead and this kind of proves it:giggle:

I mean slowing down at a railway crossing should be second nature:blink:

Yesterday a tourist bus passed me as I was slowing down because I could see a line of Chinese tourists ahead following the flag just starting to walk over a pedestrian crossing but the bus driver  didn't slow down one iota until he was virtually on top of them and then braked aggressively. What are they doing?
They really should have their mind on the job much more.

"The video is too blurry to tell..."

So why say it, twice, then?

well I'm looking at a big screen and it definitely looks like a mobile is flung from her hand, however you never know, it may have been a toy mobile that she was delivering to the local kiddies orphanage...or to satisfy the conspiracy theorists, possibly there is a guy hiding in the bushes near to every railway crossing who flings out a phone as someone comes off their bike...

Still wondering how she can ride a Yamaha M-Slaz with clutch and accelerator while using her phone. The mind boggles here.

Does a big screen enable you to clearly see the event through the blurred film, great tech, eh?

Perhaps her phone (that you cannot see) was thrown out of her bag by a little thing called inertia and impact just as what could be her shoes were thrown off her feet?

She won't be doing that again in a hurry.

well, you get it into a nice high gear and cruise along at a good pace, then you can relax, check your make-up in the mirrors (don't want to look bad), open up a Line conversation and remark to your friends about how lovely the weather is and how good your hair is, as it isn't messed up by a pesky helmet and how wonderful it is to feel the air rush through your fingers and toes....simple

Funny Thais, she only stands up and looks for her moped to continue his way..

Can't wait for the next comedy crossing video.

its a black cased Samsung, or Samsung copy :)

Luckily, she landed on her head.

Only have to look at how many of these clowns walk into you at supermarkets or on the street.

Is this the grand jury?

Do I have to swear an oath :annoyed:
