I made a post in the general section about a dangerous snake update but as farmers are 'at the coal face', I thought I'd better post in here too. Most of you will see the red-necked keelbacks regularly and some of you will ignore them as we have been told they are not dangerous. There has been an update that warns they are actually dangerous, so maybe now is a good time to redo your own research.

They are only dangerous if the bite and chew to release their venom.

Having very small mouths, the chance of them biting is very small...

My cat used to catch and play with them all the time, they never bit him !!

 

Kids should not play with them though, little fingers could be bitten....
