BERLIN (Reuters) - A goods train and a passenger train collided in southern Germany on Monday, rail operator Deutsche Bahn said, and local media reported two people were killed.

Deutsche Bahn said in a statement on its website the collision took place at around 9.20 p.m. local time (1920 GMT) near the Aichach station on the line between Ingolstadt and Augsburg in Bavaria.

Deutsche Bahn and the Sueddeutsche Zeitung both reported police as saying said two people were killed and several injured.

The German railway system is going down the drain. They have had enormous problems the last year : big delays, all the time, many malfunctions and breakdowns. Not only big delays, but also trains cancelled and  chaos on the train station totally overfull with people stuck there waiting for a way to continue. Also, a lot of other problems that they have no control over: Many (many!!) suicides jumps on the tracks, and also sabotages on the tracks, blocking the flow, which happens very regularly and too often, for no apparent reason.

Germany seem to be falling apart, things are truly messed up.
