No evidence of murder says Thai media in case of four children who fell off the balcony

Thai media Sanook has said that there is no evidence that suggests murder in the death of a five year old boy who fell with his three siblings from a platform connected to a fourth floor balcony.

But the Swiss father is still not convinced there was not foul play.

Swiss/Thai boy Alex Borel died in the accident around 1.30 am on May 1st. His three elder siblings were all seriously injured and hospitalized.

The mother was out at work. The grandparents had gone to their room on the fourth floor after seeing them to bed.

However, new evidence shows that two of the children left the room to go to the shops after their grandmother put them to bed. And rather than being locked in from the outside as had previously been reported the door was locked from the inside.

Sanook said they went to the block of flats in Ramkhamhaeng Soi 34 where the head of the juristic person Thanarat Insanong revealed details of the CCTV recorded on the fateful night.

He said that at 8 pm the grandmother was seen throwing out trash in a common area before going back to the fourth floor room.

At around 9 pm she went downstairs to her room and did not leave there again.

At 10 pm two of the children were seen going to a shop and it looked like they were adding money to a card. They then went back home.

A member of staff at the flats said that when police arrived following the accident they all went to the room that was locked from the inside.

The grandfather was contacted downstairs for the spare key to open the flat.

Earlier reports suggested that the police found a platform built to drain plates had collapsed.

Sanook spoke to the father Marcel Borel who said he still doubts there was no foul play.

He said he wants to get passports for the children so that he can take them to visit relatives in Switzerland. He said he has no intention of taking them there permanently.

He just wants to play a part in their future.

He has reportedly been given custody of the children by a court, an order that the mother has refused to follow.

Sanook repeated news that was on Thaivisa on Wednesday morning that Mr Borel had finally been allowed to see his three surviving children in hospital.

They said that he sang a song to his son Luka as he battles to recover in ICU.

Sanook appeared to have made no contact with the police as part of their report.

And why would we suddenly suspect murder. Isn´t it enough with an accident that could have been avoided with proper child care and a parent that teach her children how to solve problem in a safe and effective way?

Why is it a very tragic story always brings out the unhappy old fogies and other assorted thai bashers?

Most commentators on this matter have taken it for what it is ...a matrimonial stoush gone horribly wrong and young kids have paid the price.

Cant we leave it at that?

Are the media not allowed an oponion because it differs from their warped agenda ridden view of the country in which they have been accorded the privilege to reside.

well if they left the children on some uncertified platform connected to 4th floor balcony,
it can be 'unintentional' murder or along those lines,

criminal neglect causing death,

i'd like to see this improvised platform,

i also would like a certified construction engineer

have a say, i suspect this was a kind of

'there, fixed it' improvised platform at its very worst

there fixed it.jpg

She doesn’t follow the court order and on top of that doesn’t even give the father the right the see his children!!

She really thinks she is a normal decent mother ?

Might there be a financial thing going on.

Mostly the case when a father is not allowed to see his children.
