webfact
Clinic saves the day as aunty with Facebook gnashers set to get new teeth! Picture: Thai Rath The Rayong woman who garnered the sympathy of the Thai public after buying cut price dentures on Facebook is being given treatment for free. Anan Chumworathayee, 62, was pictured last month looking sad in the upper dentures she had bought for 1,550 baht. Delivered through the post the first set cost 1,500 and the second just 50 baht! They didn't fit and gave her the mother of all bad smiles. Now the Term Yim (adding smiles) Clinic in Muang district of the eastern Thai province has stepped in to help Anan. Dr Waen - Chamaiporn Chinnoi - said that she admired Anan for her bravery in going online to talk about her mistake in buying teeth on Facebook. She said that seven teeth will need to be done and the whole set of procedures will be done over the next two weeks. Anan thanked the clinic for helping her. She said that she did not want donations from the Thai public - she went public with her story as a warning to others. She noted that the site on Facebook was still operating as if nothing had happened and urged the authorities to investigate and have it shut down. asean
what i like the most about this dentist is the fact that she did not feel the need to advertise herself even more by taking her face mask off 1

Golden Triangle
I'm very happy that the Dentist has taken her on and will no doubt garner additional patients for her humanitarian deed, the only thing that really piques my interest is why didn't the woman go to the local hospital ( I don't know if local hospitals have dental departments) for treatment or failing that spend the Baht 1550 at a local dentist to get at least some proper, if somewhat limited, proper treatment ? why pay 1500 baht to some charlatan on Facebook ??? Some people are so stupid. Sorry, that's how I see this situation.
