The link below is possibly another case to look for some other retirement plans. Another nail in the head for Patters?

I read this story today; about condo owners being fined for short term renting; and it seems it was the result of protests by other condo owners.

I rent in a large condo complex in Pattaya with about 2000 units and many are hired out for short term rental, seemingly with the knowledge and complicity of site management. I imagine that short term rentals are helping owners pay common fees and those fees mean facilities are kept up to snuff. I would say that many palms are suitably greased along the way.

I seriously doubt that there is anywhere near sufficient manpower to enforce laws about short term renting, so your fears are unfounded.
