BANGKOK, 14th May 2018 (NNT) - The Department of Industrial Promotion and Thai printing entrepreneurs have collaborated to advance the industry’s competitiveness at regional and global levels to build on its continuous growth.

Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2018 was held from 10th - 12th May 2018 by the Department of Industrial Promotion, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau and the Thai Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association. Two hundred leading companies in the printing industry participated in the event to showcase their latest printing machines, and innovations. The event also featured seminars and workshops aimed at developing Thai printing entrepreneurs.

According to a survey by the department, the overall printing and packaging industry is likely to expand by 5% this year and continue to grow for the next three years. The industry is worth around 400 - 500 billion baht this year, particularly in Asia where label printing has expanded by 6 - 7%.

Thailand plans to grow as the hub of the printing industry in Southeast Asia.
