BANGKOK, 17th May 2018 (NNT) - The government has agreed to take action to address social problems raised by activists.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the committee tasked with advancing reform of the country’s public administration.

The latest meeting of the committee focused on a complaint filed by People's Movement for a Just Society concerning the ownership of land for agricultural use.

Gen. Nattapol Nakwanich, the Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, who is also the secretary-general of the Internal Security Operations Command, has signed an MOU with P-Move following a meeting on the filed complaint.

Gen. Nattapol said that the government will review all complaints to determine their priority and if any law amendment is needed before any action can take place.

Meanwhile, spokesman of the Defense Ministry Lt. Gen. Kongcheep Tantrawanit said today that the meeting also discussed the drafting of an order to set up a subcommittee to follow up on the implementation of all solutions for P-Move, which will be chaired by Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana and include 12 members of P-Move.

Setting up a sub subcommittee, the answer to all problems but solution to none. What is the point of the MOU, other than to just acknowledge complaints? A gambit to try keep peace for the week ahead.

After the 22nd, it's business as usual.

Mr Inaction Man promises action?  As laughable as borrowing watches from a dead man.

Not got to the sub committee yet, mate. Theyre discussing a draft to make an order to set it up first.

I thought he had been put out to pasture, he has been quiet for a while.

I was wrong, he is back spouting more nonsense.

They had one already - went for buy two-get-one-free offer from the Chinese.

Errr, am I the only guy who finds this man exceptionally good looking? Can't stop staring at his face whenever I see his picture.

I need trauma counselling every time I see his picture.

He should get rid of himself first

What the government - or Prawit - agrees and what it/he actually does are two entirely different things.
