hi guys,

just bought my one way ticket to thailand. my question is this, what visa should i go for?

i have read through the forum but there seems to be conflicting views.

i am currently in the uk and so can apply to hull. should i get a non-imm "o" ? if yes what reason would you recommend i give? i am going out to spend a year with my fiancee and maybe get hitched. should i just say i am going to visit friends and family?

your help is very much appreciated and i thank you in advance for your help.

first of all u should get a return ticket. depends on the consulate's interpretation really. u may get away with the one way. hull is reported to be very lax, but just say ur gonna go on a social visit. that's a catch-all.

good luck

hi, already bought my ticket so cant change it. forgot to mention, i am 37 yrs old, and a uk passport holder, although i also have an irish passport.

should i apply for a 12 month validity, multi-entry non-immigration visa? if so do you think i am going to have any problems getting one?

your advice is appreciated.

Just tell Hull the real reason. It won't be a problem.

thanks pat, i was hoping to get a reply from the voice of experience. so just to confirm- i need to apply for a 12 month multi-entry and my reason should be to visit my fiancee, is that correct.

leaving on the 12th so when would you recommend i submit it?

best regards

Apply for a multiple non-O, purpose of visit “to visit friends”
