If I'm jumping topics it's only to comment on your comment that the FBI had a right to surveil the Campaign. Well, Trump and Co. sure haven't done it. In fact, just the opposite, he and all his trashy, crooked, incompetent appointees have made it vastly deeper now than it ever was before.

 

But worse than all the self-enriching that's been going on, Trump and those under him appears to have been doing even worse -- and that's selling out or at least compromising U.S. national interests for money and business advantage.

 

Cozying up to Putin at the same time looking to do business deals in Russia. Cohen trying to extract money from various foreign governments in exchange for supposed sway with Trump. Flynn and Manafort and their business dealings with Russian and Ukrainian figures. The EPA chief spending all his time with big energy and big polluters, while staying in a cut-price condo owned by the wife of a lobbyist. HUD Secretary Carson and his wife spending tens of thousands in public funds redecorating. And on and on...

 

And now more with Chinese phone maker ZTE, which the U.S. government just banned U.S. companies from selling any products to for 7 years, because ZTE had lately pleaded guilty to illegally sending goods to Iran and North Korea in violation of U.S. law.

 

And now the President, defender of Make American Great Again, wants to step in and let ZTE off the hook.
