Actually there has been more than one investigation into the Clinton Foundation. All previous probes finished without finding any evidence of wrongdoing. A new FBI investigation was opened in January 2018 which is still ongoing. Incidentally, the German government did not make any major contribution to the Clinton Foundation - these stories seem to be based on the fact they did contribute between 1 million and 5 million Euros directly to forestry and re-naturalization projects in East Africa, which the Clinton Foundation was involved with as a project partner. The projects in question were being managed by the International Climate Initiative.
