I think there are as many if not more non "whities" doing that in Thailand, including Thais.  One of the reasons is there are many poor people that would do a lot of things for money.  Historically many neighborhoods/villages are more isolated.  Many less than normal job and work hours is common which leads to people being on their own and outside of traditional relationships more often.  Anyway, glad to see the computer people actually doing some good with the information they mine

This is so depressing. Why does Thailand have to get the reputation as being a haven for pedophiles? Other countries have worse records in terms of enforcement and capture of these sexual offenders. Anytime that my contacts from the USA learn that I live in the Kingdom, they manage to route the conversation around to pedophiles and ladyboys. It's tiresome to fend off attacks against Thailand when the news is full of stories like this one.

They should check all tourists there stay more than 60 days about criminal history to meny scumbags and criminals in Thailand that makes it harder for us normal people

Thailand have more tourists than other countries in Asia so you'll hear more about it here.  And its often tourists or expats you hear about in the international news, not locals even if they could be 100 times more offenders.
