9:40 am.There were no lines both at the front desk and at counter 8. It was just as fast as last year. In and out in 9 minutes. Including filling in a new form.

The front desk told me the new form has started in January. Basically to acknowledge that you have been informed of the immigration rules, that you know what you can't do here while on visa.

Still have to go back to pick up my passport the next working day. " Can not today. "

Hi

Same experience for me. Made my extension yesterday (Friday) at 10:30. No queue at all. No-one waiting at the reception. ?

Same as you, I had to fill this form (2 forms in fact, 1 page each) about "Not working on Retirement", and "Rules of Overstay". I already signed them a few years back.

The treatment of my files was express: barely more than 1 minute. Just the time to highlight all signatures and important dates on my docs. (TM7, Embassy revenues attestation, Passport + TM6 copies, Internet bill for address)

I will have to get my Passport back Monday. Seems not possible to get it in the afternoon as before.

Lucky to depend on Jomtien Immigration

Edit: Nobody talked or asked about a TM30...

Well there you go.  No haters want to report?

I have always found the office to be busy, but very efficient.

Unless, you do not have your act together.

Unfortunatley, that is the case with too many.

As I just come back Friday from a short trip to my country, and as I had something to do at Jomtien this Monday, I decided it was a good opportunity to register my first TM30. I live in my own condo for 10 years and my first try for a TM30 in 2016 had been refused because of my Retirement status.

At the reception, the lovely lady who took my files and passport first look at my Visa and immediately asked me "Why do you want make that? You moved?"... She then clearly insisted on the point that - at Jomtien Immigration - if you are on a Retirement Extension and still at the same address, you don't have to make TM30 reports...

I then insisted a little, mentioning that (I read that) a few guys on Retirement Extension have already be fined at Jomtien, and then the second lady at the reception intervened: "if they got a fined, it's that something changed in their situation". "Retirement + Same Address => No TM30"

There was no Immigration farang volunteer around so that I could ask for the exact official rule about that... so take my today experience for what it is worth...
