At least the PM is consistant. I remember him asking for the same consideration for his brother, his nephew, his sidekick (Prawit), and himself.

Basically, treat the coupmakers and elite with more care than the average guy.

Didn't require a statement, it's blatantly obvious.

The premier said authorities will have to be more cautious in such a case so as to avoid hurting the sentiment of many people who have high respects for the ex-monk who previously played an active role in the People’s Democratic Reform Committee, which staged protests against the government of Yingluck Shinawatra. The former Buddha Isara also faced lese majeste charges due to the unauthorized use of royal initials on amulets.

What a weird statement.

Yes it is. The man seems to be suggesting that the police need to be very courteous and respectful when arresting redshirts and their leaders, after all, they have more supporters than any other party.

Doesn't fly? Oh. What a surprise. The guys a bit peeved because someone higher gave the Police the order. Someone took his bat and ball away.

Talking of scamming people, now this guy is the master.

Maybe he might take his stumps and go home to mummy.

They're not criminals until they've been convicted!  Question his intelligence?  That's rich!

So, if you arrived home to witness your neighbour raping your wife, you would agree that he is not a criminal until he has been convicted?  Somehow I doubt it.   This guy has already admitted using the King's emblem without authority, which in Thailand is indeed Lese Majeste, irrespective of who commits the crime.  Having admitted the crime, he is therefore a CRIMINAL.

I believe that the P.M also requested the same lenient treatment in the case of his Deputy and his watches. That request seems to have worked quite well as the ongoing investigation is just that...ongoing and never ending.

His efforts at stopping corruption are very transparent inasmuch as they almost entirely relate to "unconnected" people.

Yeah, handle serious criminals with kids gloves...honestly, what are you thinking when you say this? The cops were right to be heavy handed because these perps in orange robes are serious law breakers and will flee given the chance. No problem though to send mushroom pickers to jail for 15 years or or arrest someone for reading 1984 in a sensitive place in BBK....pfft, lost.

I am sure we have had this conversation before, committing a crime makes someone a criminal, you are referring to convicted criminals.

If I murder someone tonight am I a murderer?

Clueless.
