poanoi
i am informed that minivans pattaya-bkk stop at Du Moh Bangkapi in bkk, so the question is: does it have an english name that shows up on google ? and is there any skytrain next to the minivan stop ? an image that explain the location would also be nice thanks

It can be very tricky for Thais to pronounce words like "The Mall" Bangkapi. It is my desperate attempt to decipher this "Du Moh" which I can not find/remember otherwise. "The Mall Bangkapi" is a major stop for all kind of local buses and minivans. But can tell for sure whether this is what you heard. https://goo.gl/maps/AUs6fkdZH4k

What you see is all motorways/tollways. And as I am far from being a Bangkok expert, I hope that some local can jump in to answer this: 3 hours ago, poanoi said: what i really want is to get from bangkapi mall to silom rd near MRT with as little walk as possible
blackcab
4 hours ago, poanoi said: what i really want is to get from bangkapi mall to silom rd near MRT with as little walk as possible You need to catch public transport from The Mall Bang Kapi to your destination. There is no way you will walk it. One way would be to catch a taxi direct to Silom. Another way would be to catch a taxi or a bus to MRT Lat Phrao then catch the MRT to Silom. jackdd
Is there a reason that you want to go to The Mall Bangkapi? To go to Pattaya from the bus station at Ekkamai would be way easier

jackdd
The last time i took a minivan there was maybe 2 years ago, but back then it was dead true ? I don't know what the current situation is, so you can wait for somebody else who has some more recent experience or you have to check it out by yourself

I don't know what the current situation is, so you can wait for somebody else who has some more recent experience or you have to check it out by yourself Personally I avoid minivans as the plague and have only used the big bus to Ekkamai. Just watched a video in Thailand about Ekkamai uploaded January 2018. It shows tons and tons(!) of minivans (rót dtôo) going to Pattaya ("non stop") and all kind of directions further south probably passing through Pattaya. In a way the thread is now in the wrong forum (and with this title) to attract the Pattaya residents who might know much more. New thread in the Pattaya forum?: "Minibus/van from Pattaya to Bangkok (Ekkamai/Silom)". Just absolutely insist that you DON'T want hints on full size coaches
