Extension in Bangkok

Is there the main visa/immigration place the only option of getting a 30 day extension (I am currently on a METV) in Bangkok. I read on the internet that there is one/used to be one near MBK mall?

You can only apply for the extension at Chaeng Wattana immigration. There is no other office you can do it at.

You are thinking of the One-Stop Service Center for Visas and Work Permits At Chamchuri Square Building which is not available to most people or for tourist extensions.
