Police patrolling Beach Road, Pattaya, in wake of ladyboy "bad image" case

Channel 7 reported from Pattaya that the local police were out in force on Beach Road in the wake of the case where several ladyboys were filmed by Chinese tourists doing lewd acts.

Two admitted the crime this week though it happened some time ago.

Piyapong Ensarn of the local tourist police said it had been bad for the image of the resort.

Yesterday a contingent of police were patrolling the area in front of Sois 1 - 15.

Channel 7 said the prostitutes of the area mostly melted into the crowd and returned after the cops had gone.

No arrests were reported but the focus seems not to have been on prostitution itself but taking pictures or movies and putting them on the internet.

This has been deemed as adversely affecting the image of Pattaya and must stop.

Channel 7 said that over the last two just over 2,400 sex workers in the area including 676 ladyboys had had their names taken by police in an effort to limit crime.

A female Thai tourist said on the video that she felt safe in the area.

Nothing new...just the nightly round up of tea money victims......:whistling:

Image? Oh dear! This is embarrassing. Have somebody found an image that actually could be altered into a more negative picture?

Shock horror, cops actually patrolling. Next thing they'll be getting out all those bikes they bought decades ago and get the cops to do bike patrols around town actually doing their job and preventing crime.

Never mind, in a couple of days it'll all be back to normal.

Please take the drug dealer motorbike gangs etc too and in jomtien too so noisy and dangerous here

Next week, another Kathoi, responded from same place...

What happened Khaaaaa ? ?:cheesy::cheesy:

Here we have the pertinent portion of this article:

"the focus seems not to have been on prostitution itself but taking pictures or movies and putting them on the internet."

Just like a shop front window, the shop owner does not like you taking photographs of the merchandise.
The police are there to approach people walking past and taking photos. Those people will be asked to delete each photo then allowed to carry on walking.
The product will be protected.

Right, that's what the Chinese tourists can be charged with: 'Taking pictures with criminal intent'.

It worked in the past when students in Bangkok were charged with 'Eating a sandwich with criminal intent'.

The Supreme Saviour, bringing ha-ppiness back to Pattaya.

Next week, same Ladyboy, another name.

Wonder how many of the 7 loitering around the policeman in the OP photo are blokes?

Doesn't really look like a deterrent unless he is just there in case it kicks off.

Got it ?

Use it, pay for it but do not spread photographic images of same.

Been doing that all my life here

affecting the image of pattaya? a whole bunch of men/boy homosexuals walking the streets at all times, grabbing your stuff and offering who knows what and then striking you when you turn the female wannabies down!  it has gotten so bad that when I see one of them instead of shaking hands, i reach down to feel if they got a pair! the females do not mind but the "boys"? they go ape! pattaya's image will never change! to much money coming in!

Adversely effecting the image of Pattaya?

LOL

Higher number of LBs on Beach Road this year, some plausible and the only way you can tell is if you hear them speak

The LBs didn't post their video, the video had to of been posted via the Chinaman that did the video. So, start a crack down on those pesky Chinese video guys, the women too!

Soi 1 - Soi 15; are there any more Soi number left after that? I just found "Soi B.J." after that further South on the map ........

"Channel 7 said the prostitutes of the area mostly melted into the crowd and returned after the cops had gone." How come Channel 7 knows things the police has not seen? Fake news all the way!

I'd put those Chinese in the same cell with the ladyboys and I'm sure that video should go nuts on social media!!!

And is there a proportional increase demand for this horror show plague of miscreants? If your gay fine go with a gay boy. If you like LADIES, go with a lady.  And you others are part of the problem. Can't you find them in where you come from??
