Search underway in Thailand for Norwich man after concerns over Facebook video

A search is underway in Thailand for Norwich man Steven Rickett after concerns for his safety have been raised by a video he posted online.

 

The video has been shared widely on Facebook after being posted by Steven, and has caused concern among friends, family and the authorities.

 

Norfolk Police are appealing for anyone who has contact with Steven to contact them urgently, and they are liaising with the authorities in Thailand.

No explanation as to why they are concerned.  Has he been threatened by someone?  Is he suicidal?  A little more information would be useful.

Most of these Brits turn up on a beach somewhere with  a Korat  'rent a girlfriend'.

Certainly looks like he's been enjoying the local weed  which is more a concern than being AWOL with Lek.

Urgent advice: Always look above your head when walking outside.

From looking at the comments above, I can only assume nobody has actually seen the video he posted.

It was over 20mins long, and he poured his heart out about suffering from depression for decades.

He is not some foreigner over here on a jolly, soon to be found having fun.....he is suicidal with a conviction to complete his task here in Thailand.

This is not a post to mock or poke fun, this is a serious issue.

Sounds like he might be bi-polar. Let's hope he's picked up by the police and his family contacted.
