Last news from Penang Consulate,
with immediate effect:
Multiple Entry Non Immigrant B Visa will only be issued to COMPANY DIRECTORS.
All shareholders can only apply for single entry visa.

Source please.

First report from an agent. Apparently other agents reporting on other pages and forums.

And a first hand encounter from somebody there yesterday.

FYI

1 Year NON B multiple entry possibly only possible as DIRECTOR. I'm just back from Penang with only 90 days and single entry. I am employee / share holder 49% . 4 people applied for a 1 year NON B. Only one, a Director got the 1 year. Me and an other was first given 1 year but made VIOD. The next page in the pasport was a 90 day VISA. On the embassy we where told that you have to be director in some way.

As I've said before on other threads Penang now seem to want to do as little work as possible, probably up to the point where they only have a handful of applicants for any type of visa every day

Either that, or new instructions from the MFA for them particularly. It's very likely they are being told what to do from the top.

Does anyone have experience of getting a one year Non B visa with only 7 months validity on work permit? thanks
