Water cooler repair

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a domestic water cooler which has broken down, it is manufactured by Victor. Does anybody know of any repair shops that could fix it? It is no longer cooling the water.

Probably a refrigerator repair shop. Does the compressor still run? It might have a gas leak. It might be time for a new one. I bought the in-laws one and it only lasted a couple of years.

excuse my ignorance, how would you know if the compressor is the issue?

It heats water up but doesnt cool it. It is not making any unusual sounds etc.

It's the motor that connects to the cooling coils. You should be able to hear it. It's the motor that compresses the gas for cooling. Or look in the back and put your hand on it. It should be warm and vibrating, just like an old fridge. If it doesn't run, then it's toast. If it runs but doesn't cool you have a freon leak. Not sure what a new one costs or how old yours is, but they aren't that much new from what I remember.

Hi. It is cold at the back and just continues to click. Whilst it heats water, the machine ab the back is jot warm at all.

Clicking? Hum. Probably the motor relay switch. A refrigerator repair shop should be able to tell you if it's worth fixing. The hot water is most likely a separate heating coil, nothing to do with the refrigeration part.

+ 1 A fridge repair shop will do the trick. A freon leak could be the problem.
