The Nakhon Ratchasima provincial administration has issued an announcement looking for four “Good Samaritan” individuals who risked their lives to rescue victims from a burning car following a road accident in Si Khieu district on Tuesday.

Governor Wichien Chantharanothai said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had followed up the news report about the accident and the rescue of the victims. He added that the prime minister appreciated the bravery of the four individuals and would like to present them with plaques so they will be recognized as model citizens.

The four are Mr Prasit Saraban, a driver of Sanki Quality Product Company in Samut Prakan, Mr Udomdet Prasertchaichokdee, Mrs Jiratchaya Chobking, a village head of Village 4 in Tambon Krisana, Si Khieu district, and Mr Vichit Suebsai, an employee of Korat Auto factory in Si Khieu district.

Hmmm Help!

In a normal country it would be taken for granted

He's got a thing about plaques.

Plaques are so dated and passé. Great deeds of selfless bravery by model citizens deserve no less than a fancy basket of chicken essence.

In a normal country recognition of 'ordinary' people assisting in a potentially dangerous situation to save life would also be taken for granted.

IMO you should never undermine the bravery of a few..................

Sarcasm alert!

Preparations are underway to take him on a two month-long pre-election condolence tour, equipped with goodies from the Thai Niyom funds, visiting bereaved families of the 7,000 killed in Thai road accidents this year. In respect to the mourning families and friends he promised not to sing or recite his poems.
