Is Windows Defender enough to guard my computer 

I,m using it on both my win 10 pc,s......no problems so far....I do avoid "dodgy" websites however

 

google it and many "experts" say its as good as most,with a couple of additional free programmes like Ccleaner/Malawarebytes

IMO common sense is much more important.

Windows Defender is not perfect - like all the other Anti-Virus programs out there.

 

I like Defender and use it on many PCs for several reasons:

- It does not ask questions. It just works in the background and updates in the background. Lots of other programs ask if the user wants to do this or that which is for most users not helpful.

- No ads and no permanent reminders that you should buy the full version or update this or that feature like many other programs.

- It is perfectly integrated into Windows

- No AV program is perfect. Like mentioned above common sense is important. And if you get a virus it's more important to act fast and to make sure you have a recent backup - independent of the AV program.

 

I use it on 4 laptops and have not had any problems.
