Phrases in Thai

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I will be visiting Thailand very soon. Rather than speaking in English, I hope I could immerse myself in the local culture. Therefore, I would appreciate everyone's help in teaching me the phrases below (feel free to type in Thai ? ):

1) How do I say "I have two luggages"?

2) How do I ask "do you have spare change"?

3)There are many night markets in Thailand. The follow phrases that I would like to ask is in the context of buying items from a seller. How do I ask "If I can mix items"? For instance rather than buying ankle socks, can I "MIX and MATCH" different types of socks.

4) I might be using the public transport extensively. I was just wondering what I could say when I want to offer my seat to someone in need?

Thanks in advance! ?

I have two bags, "ผมมีกระเป๋าสองใบ"

What is spare change? Beggars don't ask they just sit there.

If you want to ask for small coins from a friend, (unlikely because a tourist's friend would probably speak English) Have you any coins is 'คุณครับ มีเหรียญบางไหม

I don't know how to say 'mix and mach' what does its mean? Socks are socks, you select what you want then you bargain.

To offer your seat, you rise looking at the person to whom you are offering, at the same time blocking anyone who might beat them to it and say เชืญครับ
