Hello

Our building needs to change the main entrance door .. Does anyone know a company in Pattaya doing a good job for a reasonable price ??

We need an aluminium frame with glass and of course a good security/closing system

Thank you

Have a nice sunday

The locking system (key cards etc) is normally independent of the door construction, though it would not hurt to plan both together.

Any decent aluminium shop should be able to make a door and you should ask several shops and get quotes and view some of their previous work before deciding. An exception would be sliding doors, which are made by specialised companies.

As for the locking system, there are only a handful of companies doing this here and most seem to use HIP equipment. Just get quotes from all of them. There is one half-way up Theprasit Road, more or less opposite the Mini BigC, and another opposite the motorway junction on Sukumvit. Others are available also. The price will vary hugely depending on what sort of key card management you need. Negotiate hard. You will get better prices from Bangkok suppliers, though installation may be an issue.

Just about every street here has an aluminium/glass door place on it. I doubt that many have an internet presence.

There are at least three along Theprasit. Maybe more. I recommend that you try at least half a dozen before deciding.

And again the PMs. What is it with you?

If he is so highly recommended why not just give his address?

Ya, why not?  I, & perhaps others, would the appreciate the information as well.

on my first trip to LOS I had to laugh...

I worked for a company that made automatic doors for 22  years,  from plan and site survey the doors were constructed to precision tolerances in the factory and then shipped to site for fitting, yet in Thailand they where constructing them on site with a chop saw.

As for access control you do need to get this sorted before they build the doors as the locks may not be suitable, I have only worked with access control in the UK, the one I would use if I were specifying is Paxton Access's NET2 system each door has a controller and this can handle up to 50,000 users that is net worked to the office(s), it will still continue to work when the network is down, the office can issue cards, cancel or suspend cards, and can record the coming and going of all users, can also be used for time and attendance of staff, and even for a "fire roll call".

Thank you... It is a small buiding.. 3 floors, 21 units..

Will take your advice into account... Of course, was considering the door issue at the same time as security fitting...

Have a good evening

O.c. dear KittenKong. Also I prefer the more personal way and give a bit of extra info with recommendations. Specific to the questions of the

original inquiry.

BTW, I have previously published this info a few times if memory serves me right, which is difficult at my age...:-)

The Alu/Glass Shop below Big C - Klang / Kh. Suvit does a great job and Kh. Suvit is a great Thai to deal with. Fluent in E & bits and pieces of other languages. Traveled the world and has all the catalogs with hardware and samples in his office. As he is out on jobs most of the days, best try to stop by around 16.30 and ask for him. Have a great Sunday, all.  MS>

The Alu/Glass Shop below Big C - Klang

That's the info that was needed and I expect that people will benefit from it.

I assume that it is this place:

He clearly doesnt go in for self-promotion, with no sign up at all in any language!

Thanks KK.

Known him and his staff a long time. He works lots for contractors who know he is

reliable and helpful. Always been happy with his jobs. Also great and fast follow up service and accepts small repairs. And is very pleasant to talk to, has traveled the world. Regards. MS>
