Police clearance

Hi to all. Is the police clearance a mandatory reuirement for proceeding your documents for non b visa/ WP? Or it depends on your school. Thank you very much in advance. Useful info on this matter would be much appreciated ?

The police clearance will be needed to apply for the non-b visa at nearby embassies and consulates.

It is not required for the work permit or an extension of stay at immigration.

So it's a must to get it, right? I was told my many co-workers that you don't need it that's why I would like to make sure on this. How to apply for this and where? Many thanks for a rapid reply.

Perhaps they have not needed a non-b visa recently.

Just go at it without one.  I bothered getting one from Oz after being denied in Penang for not having one then returned to bkk.  when getting everything sorted in bkk they said they didn't want it.  

May be a good idea if you can get a clearance from Thai police station.  Easy enough.
