Currency exchange 1000AED notes.

Featured Replies

Do SuperRich accept 1000 AED notes?

(These notes are worth about £200 each.)

If so, do the notes have to be in perfect condition and near brand new?

I assume they could be exchanged there or at any bank since they are listed listed on Bangkok Banks list of currencies. Plus at current exchange rates 1000 AED is only about 7340 baht.

Not perfect perhaps but certainly not in a tattered condition I would think.

Not sure where you are getting that rate from, but It’s just under the 9000 baht mark.

Yes they do. The Super Rich website lists the denominations they will accept, and for AED that's notes between 5 and 1,000 inclusive.

The notes have to be clean, without rips or tears, and not worn thin. It is best to also avoid notes with writing on them as these can sometimes be turned away.

Depends on the bank/money exchanger.  See below shows rates from various exchangers in Thailand.  "For AED," banks are going to give a lot less than exchangers such as Vasu, Superrich, etc.
