ladda
I've looked for this elsewhere on the forum, I'm sure it's been asked about already but can't find anything. Anyway, I'm planning on moving back home after some years here. What are the options for shipping my stuff back? I'm getting rid of some of course but there's a good bit left which I want to send back. Books, CDs, clothes, things like that mostly. Shipping companies? Postal service? Anybody got any experience with this? Thanks very much.
villa_boy1
I've been looking into this myself recently. I haven't used them yet, but I have received good customer service and a reasonable quote from 'Excess Baggage'.
orchis
DHL and TNT have larger boxes to send back stuff in, for not a whole lotta stuff this always came out cheaper than moving companies' quotations.
ladda
Do you know if DNT ship by weight or size?
gummy
I've been looking into this myself recently. Don't know your country where shipping to but if UK you will need to declare to UK customs that goods are personnal effects, more than 6 months old to avoid import duty. ladda
Thanks for the info. How do you prove the stuff is 6 years old, to avoid paying import duty?
