PHUKET: The search for dozens of missing Chinese tourists whose boat capsized off Phuket yesterday afternoon resumed early today, with divers poised to scour the sunken hull, the local governor told reporters.

Injured trooper rushed to hospital, bodies retrieved in Army plane crash

Rescuers rushed an injured Army trooper to hospital and retrieved three bodies after an Army Cessna 182 light aeroplane crashed in Mae Hong Son province near the Myanmar border on Thursday.

Latest update as of 9am Thailand Time, from the Phuket PR Office, states that one Chinese tourist has been found dead and 56 are still missing in two major marine incidents yesterday afternoon (July 5).

PHUKET: The storm that hit Phuket late yesterday afternoon left huge swathes of the island without power for up to six hours and forced air traffic controllers to divert several flights from landing at Phuket International Airport for safety.

PHUKET: A Royal Thai Navy helicopter took to the sky at first light this morning as the search continued in the hope of finding 58 people still missing from the two boat sinkings amid the storm late yesterday afternoon.

Retired SEAL member dies in Tham Luang rescue operation

A retired member of the Navy SEAL unit died in Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai’s Mae Sai district early Friday (July 6) while on a mission to rescue the 12 footballers and their coach stranded in the cave since June 23, Wassana Nanuam, a military beat reporter of the Bangkok Post newspaper, posted on the Facebook on Friday morning.
