Non-O Single Re-Entry Permit

Featured Replies

Hi. My husband has a non-immigrant B and is working in Thailand and I initially entered Thailand with a non-O obtained from my country. Now, my visa has already been extended for one year in May 2018 and is a Single Re-entry Permit. Now, I'm about to go to Malaysia but I want to clarify if (1) I can still use my re-entry permit and if not (2) should I look into getting anther type of visa before I return to Thailand? Because there were a lot of paperwork involved when I initially applied for a non-o and we don't have much time before I leave. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a 1 year Extension of Stay from Immigration within Thailand

So if you are going to leave/ return to Thailand, you would need to get a Re-Entry Permit from your closest Immigration office or airport (as others may say )

Thanks for responding. Yes, I got the extension within Thailand and I believe I got the re-entry permit (Single) when I got extended for a year. Does this mean I can use that for my trip?

Did you change your plans when you got the Re-entry back in May ?

There are more knowledgeable people then myself, but I can't see why if you haven't used it as I've not heard of a used by date on them

If you had a reentry permit issued when you got the extension of stay and have not yet left the country, then yes, you can use this, it is valid one one entry up to the end of your extension, if you need to go out again after this trip to Malaysia and the end of your extension, then you would have to get another reentry permit.

I guess you can say that. This trip was not planned when I got the re-entry in May. The re-entry is valid until May 2019.

So long as it has yet to be used, then this is fine, I assume, apart from obviously the dates and number of entries, then your reentry permit is as below?

Yes, only difference is the date and number of entries.
