Airlines with refundable tickets?

Featured Replies

Hi,

What are some Airlines that you know of that offer fully refundable tickets? Departure from BKK or DMK is OK.

I need to show an outgoing ticket at the start of my 3 month long trip to Thailand, but I'm unsure where to go yet so my plan is to book one on the day before leaving and refund it after arrival and checked in in Thai.

Thanks in advance,

Qatar Airways allows you to hold a reservation for up to 72h for a small fee. Not sure what the policy here is - I usually get 72h for intercontinental flights and 24h for intracontinental, the cost is around 10 USD.

Additionally, with Flexi tariffs (you get them both for economy and business) cancellation is free.

Quite often a full fare, fully refundable ticket nowadays may have a $30-50 admin charge to process the full refund. It might take weeks to get your $300? back. A cheap Air Asia(or whatever) to PNH, SGN, PEN or KUL which you may or may not use might be a better choice?

If it's only for proof of onward travel indeed a fairly easy choice.

One way Phuket to Kuala Lumpur starts at about 1500 Baht.

(prices have risen significantly, no more 990 from Bangkok)

EDIT: search hard

Phuket - Penang, 15 Aug, 990 Baht (+fees etc.).
