BANGKOK, 11th July 2018 (NNT) – The Cabinet has approved a retreat set to take place July 23-24 in the lower Northeastern Region 2, while the Prime Minister is to travel to Sri Lanka this weekend to sign an extradition treaty and follow up on bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Assistant Spokesperson to the Prime Minister’s Office Col Atisit Chainuwat has advised the public that Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha will make an official visit to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on July 12-13, following an invitation from Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena.

The PM will be looking to boost ties between Thailand and Sri Lanka and is expected to announce support for bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, economics, academia, farming and fishing, religion and culture.

The Cabinet has also approved its fifth retreat for 2018, which is to take place July 23-24 in the lower Northeastern Region 2, which comprises Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket and Yasothon.

Signing an extradition treaty with a military government,  not something the good people of Sri Lanka should be proud of.  Sri Lankan tea, on the other hand, would be lovely.

Making the most of a near end of a very long feast.
