Help on WP and Non Immigrant B Visa.

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have applied for a position and was accepted to work for a Thai company.

The Thai Embassy in my country informed me that the following documents are required in order to obtain a Non Immigrant B Visa:

1. Original Confirmation letter from the Thai Ministry of Labor

2. Original signed invitation letter from the employer are necessary

3. Curriculum vitae

4. Education certificates

5. Non Immigrant B Visa form

It is my understanding that I first apply for the Visa, then when I arrive to Thailand the company will apply for the WP based on the visa I obtained.

My questions are:

1. What is the validity of the work permit and what are the validity options (if any) of the Visa? is there an option of 12 months validity to the Non Immigrant B Visa?

If the visa is valid only for 3 months, must I exit the country every 3 months or is there a way to handle this process online/at local immigration office?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

You be getting a single entry non-b visa that is valid for entry for 3 months from the date of issue that will allow one 90 day entry.

A work permit is normally valid for 1 year.

After you get the work permit you will be able to apply for a one year extension of stay at immigration based upon working with supporting documents from your employer.

There is no online process for what you will be doing.

Once you have an extension of stay you will report to immigration every 90 days. It is possible to report online, by post, in person or by proxy.
