90 day reporting due?

Recommended Posts

Hi if I arrived in Thailand on 2nd May, when is my 90day report due? I'm confused whether to count the weekends and/or Thai public holidays as part of the 90 days. Also what if immigration is closed (due to public holiday) when 90 day is due? Thanks

Your due date is JULY 30 (office closed).

First day for report in person was JULY 16.

Last day for report in person is AUGUST 3.

You can go today until Thursday (Friday is closed) or next week from Tuesday.

You can bet that this Thursday and coming Tuesday is crowded like mad.

I would go tomorrow. You "loose"  6 days but probably save long queues.

Thank you, but I could also go on 3 August right? When the queues have died down and I won't lose 6days

You could, but please bear in mind that this will be on a Friday, meaning that you could be in for a rather long wait before being attended to. Immigration offices tend to be lain siege to on the day before a weekend.

I suggest the you do it on the 2nd since the 3rd is a Friday. Your next report will be due 90 days from the day you do the report.

Not quite sure how you think you will lose 6 days.

Reporting has nothing to do with permision to stay.

Most offices date your next report from when you make it, not from when it was due.

Some will also not give a new report date beyond that of the date of your extension renewal.

They renew the 90 day report when you do the extension.

Exactly that.

So your "report cycle" is cut short.

Three reports each two weeks early makes six weeks.

I don't consider it as losing any days either. There is really nothing to lose. You just have do to your report earlier if you do it before the report date.

When doing them by mail or online you have no choice. They will always be done early.
