Visa number when using multiple entry

Featured Replies

I have a non B visa with 1 year extension. As I am traveling a lot this year I opted for multiple re-entry stamp. 1st re-entry I completed arival card with visa number, all good besides usual questions, this was at Suvarnabhum. 2nd re-entry via DMK I once again completed form with visa number, officer took a while and asked where I got this number, I showed visa and he said, no wrong number and proceeded to change details on form to re-entry permit number.

As the arival card asked for visa number its what I entered, thus I am a tad perplexed. I will be flying out tomorrow and back in the weekind via Chiang Mai, which number to use? My gut instinct is the re-entry number. Any advice be appreciated.

Yes, the officer was correct, you must use the reentry permit number on the TM.6

Thanks @Mattd

The logic is that you must use the number on the stamp (or sticker) that contains your permission to enter Thailand. Since your visa is now used, it is not relevant to your new entry. You can enter Thailand because of your re-entry permit, and that is the number to use.

Go with your gut, it’s right.
