90 Day online report problems

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Well this is my first attempt at doing the online 90 day report and as I suspected it failed after only supplying the first page of information ie passport info and departure card info. At the bottom of the first page I had to input a captu number which I did and it verified (turned green) and then I hit submit but the page/computor screen went blank. I waited a few minutes and then tried to refresh and got the page back again but with a new captu number, so I typed the new number in and it again turned green, so I hit the submit and again the screen went blank.

I am now wondering if anybody else is having the same problem? I read the rules for submitting online and followed them or thought I was.

any help or advice would be appreciated.

thanks

There is a lot of info about doing the reports online in the pinned topic at the top of the main page of this forum.

You apparently have a popup blocker that is keeping you from seeing a message to contact your local immigration office for reporting. Turn off your popup blocker so you can see it.

The message means your record could not be found.

That could be caused by an error when you entered the required info marked with a *. It is best to only complete those require fields.

A common error is not using the drop down menu for your nationality.

Other reasons are a new passport since your last entry to the country or an entry prior to 2013.

Went on line last Thursday afternoon and accepted all my info.

Received and email on Friday morning informing me it was approved and the link to print the form for next appointment.

Excellent service for a change

Hi Ubonjoe, I had a feeling you might have found the right reason for my problem. Yes I have a new Passport and I did get a pop down message telling me to contact my local office. My new question will be, When will they let me start using the online reporting using the new passport? Or should I try inputting the info from my old PP as it has not expired yet? I am assuming if I do that it might cause other problems but I want to make sure first. thanks Aussie Bob

Are you currently staying in Thailand on the basis of annual extensions (e.g. for marriage or retirement)? If, so have you yet had your current stamps transferred from your old to new passports at your local immigration office? If you haven't, I strongly suspect that you won't be able to use the online 90-day reporting facility until this has been done.

Yes stamps have been transfered over shortly after obtaining the new passport. It was done at Phuket Town last 90 day report as the Patong office told me they do not do the transfer into new passports. I am here on retirement 3yrs now.

When you have left the country the country and use the new passport for entry. The database the system access is for entries to the country.

You could try using your old passport number but it might be disapproved if your local office has a record of you new passport number.

That would make no difference since the system checks a database that only has records of entries to the country in it. Immigration cannot access that database to change it.

ok thanks. I just want to start using this process because I don't have any travel plans until mid 2019 and I like most other expats don't like visiting the immi office.

Update,

So I just tried to use the old (not expired yet) passport with the online process and it too gave me the pop-down message telling me to contact my local office. So thanks for helping and with the suggestions but it appears I have no choice but a visit to my local office.

  • 9 months later...

The same problem as Aussie Bob except my passport has not expired. Perhaps this service is only available once as I did the online report three months ago without any issue (once I figured it all out....). I called the help number and was told politely in good English that maybe I should go to immigration in person - not really very helpful.... Anyone have a solution other than go to immigration?

You can do all your reports online. There is nothing to stop you from doing another one.

I suggest you try again later. The message come up sometimes due the system not being able to access the database it checks to confirm your identity.
