Retirement stamp/Visa for married couple.

Featured Replies

If I apply for a Retirement Visa, I am 73 years of age does this cover my wife or does she need the same Visa & requirements?

I asked an agency sometime ago & was informed that we both needed to apply & both needed the 800,000 baht to qualify among the other requirements.

Thanks for any info on this.

Only one needs the funds, must be in one name, cannot be in joint account.

The other spouse can get extension of stay as dependent.

Thank you that's what I thought.

Does this apply to a couple (man/women) in a defacto relationship?

Only to married couples, Thailand doesn't recognize defacto marriage.

No. They have to be married.
