Popular Post robblok Posted August 13, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2018 The police did nothing.. I mean one would say a weapon and attack with one would result in a serious charge. If they don't charge people for it how will it ever change. 24 2

The police may have had a percentage of the fines (unreceipted or otherwise) and told them to wai each other for the cameras. Job done. The police here need to raise revenue to support the lifestyles of their officers. They can't be wasting time on silly squabbles (armed or otherwise) between truck drivers. No significant money in it. The police are not interested in social change, they are interested in how much cash they can rake in this week. If they don't bring in enough, their senior officers, wives and mia nois will be very unhappy and make their lives hell. 21 4
Popular Post Rimmer Posted August 13, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2018 But they said it wasn't serious, reported Daily News. So waving a 'parang' around and threatening another person in a public street is not serious? Something is seriously wrong somewhere. 14

Popular Post lovelomsak Posted August 13, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2018 A good example of why to not bring a weapon into a fight. The guy in brown brought the sword. In the end the guy in green had it. The guy in the brown is lucky he did not end up chopped liver. 3 1

Popular Post from the home of CC Posted August 13, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 13, 2018 The police not taking any action just emboldens these idiots. What's it going take for them to act, a decapitation in the streets? 3

There is one thing, though. That is how to change the mentallity of people? Here it doesn´t matter if you shoot one, the next idiot will stand around the corner and repeat his offense. 2 1

The mentality will change if punishment is handed out, I am sure of it. The problem is that often punishment is not handed out and if you accept violence like this the next step.. shooting someone is easier too. So if you come down hard on this it will influence other crimes too. You cant eradicate crime but you can make an impact. Now its just totally wrong. 5

Correct. 38 minutes ago, from the home of CC said: What's it going take for them to act, Any sort of threat, inconvenience or God forbid, physical injury to the privileged 1%. That would include senior civil servants, managers at state enterprises, senior police, senior military, rich business owners, anybody whose kids go to Satree Witthaya or Sathit Chulalongkorn, local politicians, godfathers, etc. 42 minutes ago, from the home of CC said: a decapitation in the streets? Not if it's just a truck driver. I hope that answers your queries. 3

They not have the mentallity to do anything in the same way regulary. How in the wide world can you ever believe they would be able to work together with the same line regerding the delivery of punishments? Mentality, my dear Watson. What does it take to change the essence of a people, what does it really take? Edited August 13, 2018 by Get Real

Destiny1990 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Weird people can block roads ram eachother with trucks and assault eachother with deadly weapons and its all ok.. but if we smoke on a beach we get year in jail and 100 k fine!
biggles45 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 "They can't be bothered. The police may have had a percentage of the fines " A friend in Pattaya tried to break-up a fight between two drunk foreigners. One threw a punch at him, missed and decked my friends wife to the floor causing big damage to her teeth and jaw. Cops made the guy pay for medical/dental but when the wife wantd the guy charged the cop in charge said there was no crime report. It must have cost the drunk a lot to pay them off!!
