Don't know, but a subscription to Game Pass on nfl.com is a great deal for $199

BTW, I've been training the locals to root for the Packers!

I could never get my wife interested in the Cowboys. On the Game Pass, I have wifi and an IPad at home. I do have a VPN so a US IP address shouldn't be a problem, but I would need the connection wired instead of wifi, correct?

Wifi is fine and don't need a VPN.  They check your location to enforce blackout restrictions so you don't want a US-based IP address.  I stream to my laptop and connect to my flat screen via HDMI cable.

wow I m a packers fan too where did you take this pics? Amazing

Last year they were televised on the Sports illustrated channel.  Schedules were both available about 7 days ahead on the SI website and later on the SI TV guide.  Although SI is still being broadcast on True the schedule has disappeared stating "no information available", and the SI website has also disappeared.  I sent a message to True asking and their response was that they are still under negotiation, same response for years, and that schedules would be released 7 days in advance.  I get a weekly Sorts schedule via email from them every Monday or Tuesday but I suspect that the only way That we'll know is to surf the channels at 0730 on Friday the 7th.  Their TV guides, both printed and on the tube, are garbage.

I sent them an email through their "contact us" page yesterday (Aug. 28th) and haven't heard anything. I have called at least 5 times before that and they continue to say they are still in negotiations. Yet, they still show Peyton Manning's picture when they advertise the Premium package. It is of course illegal to advertise something you don't have, but TIT. They are showing sports on their TS channels, so they can still show American Football, but if they do, I highly doubt it will be live. They are making too much of their soccer channels and it looks like all their money is going there. Up until a month ago, they were showing the LPGA live for 3 to 4 hours straight,  in the early hours. Now, they are showing it at one hour excerps, during the day and evenings,  probably because a number of Thai's have joined the big tour and won (Ariya has 3 wins this season so far).  I have been hearing they are having trouble selling their PVR's and that is how I record the American football games and golf tournaments.  If they can't sell their Personal Video Recorders, a big use being sports in the early hours, they may well stop paying for the live sports during these hours as well. You will note there is no trouble catchiing the European Golf Tour live.  Hence, I think, if they show American football at all, it will be select games during the afternoons.

Camble, forget the Packers. They can get tryouts with the  Cowboy cheerleaders. They're not all blond.

Camble, I have been reading a lot about Game Pass at your suggestion.  You may be on to something. You are correct that they don't want a US or US territories IP address, which is fine as I live in Bangkok. If True doesn't televise live American football games for me to record, or doesn't show the normal TV games in the afternoon or early evening, then I will look hard at Game Pass and of course downgrade my Truevisions package. I would stream to my I pad the repeats of the games. The only issue for me is making sure my signal is strong enough and my IPAD's meet the technical requirements, but these are things I could pay to fix.  I could always get a PS4 or buy a new IPAD (handy things) and pay for a stronger  signal (I use AIS Fibre).

As I am highly technically unable, do you see anything wrong with my thoughts. It sounds too easy.

I've lived here a long time.  Last year was the first year that they broadcast them on SI.  Before that they televised them on their TS Channels, 666 and a couple of others.  They televised the Thursday night game live on Friday morning.  They televised three Sunday games live starting at midnight/0100, which were followed by two prer-ecored first air games and them replays of the earlier games.  They also televised Monday night football live on Tuesday morning.  Every year it was always last minute scheduling.  They missed A few years ago they miised a few games that I wanted to watch and I tried Game Pass and it was garbage.  Last year I tried ESPN play for the bowl games and only got to watch 3, all the others were "no connection">

I think the garbage description on Gamepass may be the slow wifi speeds. This is one of my main concerns, but if Camble is able to come up with it, I am guessing that paying for the highest speed would do the trick. In the past, I have questioned not getting the speed we are paying for and have always been told it was during the peak periods when the speeds slow down. I have tested it and that was when the speeds did slow down. I have no question that my current wifi speed is too slow so I would have to buy a higher speed, but how high?

BTW, Sports Illutstrated channel is still on showing gaming shows. It just says no information on that channel, but when you click on the channel their gaming shows are on.

Camble, what wifi speed do you use? I am in Prawet so Asoke isn't that far away.

You only need 3MB/sec and they use a Content Delivery Network. I can watch a second game on my iPad concurrently, and could even stream a third game to another tablet, and their interface also supports multiple games concurrently on the same device, but I find it more convenient to watch their "Red Zone" coverage.

I think they have a free trail period still. I did it last year with no problems at all.

Thanks. I am going to wait to see if Truevisions comes through first. If not, unless the wife has an issue, we will downgrade. Really, with Netflix, not much on Truevisions I care about other than American sports.

Truevisions only broadcast 4 games per week

Not true!  They broad cast Thursday night, live on Frday morning. Monday night live on Tuesday morning, Three live Sunday games starting at either 0000 or 0100 on Monday morningdepending on whether it is daylight savings time, followed by two "first air" games.  There is usually on game that starts at 0405 rather than 0430 and they televise it live on another channel and if there are two Thursday night or Monday night games they televised both.

Last year they televised numerous replay's during the week. I don't expect much out of them this year given the daytime switch from nighttime LPGA tournaments and several of their new shows are already canceled. They are emphasizing soccer.

Last year they were on the SI channel and they televised the games live and first air as I posted above.  The only live game that they did not televise was the 1605 game as it was in conflict with the 1630 game.  Remember the Sunday games start at 1300 in the US which is either midnight or 0100 here on Monday depending on whether the time  in the US is standard or day light savings.  The Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games were televised live  at 0730/0830 the next morning here.  When there were two night games they televised them both!  On Monday the live games were followed by two first air games and then the replays began. It  was ahrd to televise more live games on only one channel and American football is not that popular here.

GOOD NEWS! I just got off the phone with Truevisions and they don't know about the Friday morning game, but their Marketing person talked to the customer service person I was talking to and he was told they will televise the slate of live games etc. starting with the Sunday games as before. It will probably be on their TS stations.

I agree, good news, but TIT and I will believe it when I see it.  If they appear on the weekly schedule that I get every week I will copy and post it like I did last year.

While the person I was talking to didn’t have legal authority to obligate, he did use the word “confirm”. In the days when I did have legal authority, “confirm” meant an obligation. Thai’s don’t use the word unless they 100% believe it to be true.

According to a TrueVisions employee in the know, we will get seven (7) LIVE games (more on special weeks like Thanksgiving, and those days with 2X lMNF ike Monday Sep. 10, Tuesday morning here) each week.

Two (2) early Sun (1:00 PM ET) games, two (2) late Sun (4:25 PM ET) games, one (1) SNF game, one (1) MNF game and one (1) TNF game.

There will be replays of these live games throughout the week, and maybe another two (2) re-broadcast of games not previously shown live (this last bit is not set in stone).

Note that I got similar details this time last year from the same contact, which then looked to be incorrect, but was ultimately proven to be accurate. So YMMV.

The kick-off game is Fri. ~ 07:20 AM local time ATL at PHL.

Not sure which channels (666? 669? 672?) will be utilized, possibly the same ones as last year, which can be found in that thread. I haven't seen any schedule of games shown other than the kick-off game.

NFL GamePass is available to subscribers who live outside the U.S., GameDay (no live games shown, only re-plays) is meant for subscribers who live in the U.S.

Most here have reported success with GamePass, assuming you have a decent internet connection and the appropriate display/device etc. I watched a part of one game cast from a mobile (Android) onto a 55" HD TV via Chromecast (local WiFi, via broadband AIS Fiber 100/50), and it looked like full HD (1920x1080) does with my TrueVisions cable.

Fox, NBC, CBS, ESPN, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video have broadcast rights for the U.S.

There's also quite a few websites that you can stream from for free if you want to go that route.  Many of these sites are HD and the stream is crystal clear.  Cast to your TV and you're all set.

A lot of the sites that re-stream really cannot scale. But if you know of any please feel free to share.

One benefit of declining viewership is increased "availability".

The kick-off game this Thursday (Friday morning here) is really a "Sunday Night Football" game, so broadcast by NBC. TNF games are then on the NFL Network, FOX, Amazon Prime.

The National Football League announced Thursday it has reached an agreement to renew its exclusive partnership with Amazon Prime Video to deliver a live OTT digital stream of Thursday Night Football, Presented by Bud Light to a global audience across devices during the 2018 and 2019 NFL seasons. Amazon Prime will stream the 11 Thursday Night Football games broadcast by FOX, which will also be simulcast on NFL Network and distributed in Spanish on FOX Deportes, once again securing the league's "Tri-Cast" model of broadcast (FOX), cable (NFL Network, FOX Deportes), and digital (Amazon Prime Video) distribution.

The Thursday Night Football games will be made available to the over 100 million Amazon Prime members worldwide in over 200 countries and territories, on the Prime Video app for TVs, game consoles, and connected devices, which includes Amazon Fire TV, mobile devices and online. Thursday Night Football on Prime Video will provide members a unique viewing experience complete with interactive features that bring fans closer to the game. The TNF games will also be available to Twitch viewers. The NFL and Amazon will also collaborate on additional NFL content opportunities and enhanced fan viewing experiences, including making the games available on Twitch's interactive social video service.

Forgot to add that I was told that this is year #2 of a three-year contract.

My contact is in no way associated with programming or contracts, he just asked around and provided the best info he could find. Last year he spoke BEFORE the contract was finalized, and it was nip/tuck up until the Wed. before the kick-off game. All that said, until we see the kick-off game, and subsequent games, who knows? The two early and two late Sunday games is different/more than last year, I think, but similar to previous years (my recollection), so am curious about that detail for this season. Two early games I can leave and two late games are OK in a pinch (second half), or as of Week 9 (DST).

I actually like the replays - 2 hours all in, usually afternoons and evenings. I never liked the 60 min versions or the condensed games.

In the past there were never two early games, but usually there is one late  game that starts at 0405 with the others starting at 0430.  They usually showed both games live on different channels.  Sometimes the replays are better than the live games as they edit out all of the commercial time which here is just nothing but wait since no commercials are aired.  Last year SI filled in the time with other garbage, the same sailing races over and over again, and sometimes forgot to switch back to the live game when it restarted!.  If there were two Thursday night or Monday night games, as there are this coming Monday, they usually showed both, but they do actually follow one another.
