The Department of Special Investigation and immigration cops arrested a US national who arrived in Phuket yesterday on a tourist visa.

He is 32 year old Derrick Keller who has been working in China as an independent actor.

Police say he played a key role in a multi million baht investment fraud by pretending to be an executive of a company to dupe potential investors and gain their confidence.

The case involves 250 victims defrauded of 235 million baht.

In total 32 warrants have been issued for 23 Thais and 9 foreigners.

Thirteen arrests have so far been made, 12 Thais and one foreigner.

Sanook intimated that the ringleader was a Singaporean.

He's very famous in China, acts as the western villain in all their major action films.

You would know this if Google wasn't banned in China.

To all y’all who think this is a joke and act as if y’all are so quick to judge. He is a honest man I know him personally due to me living in his home town.

I doubt that would count in court as a character witness statement, especially if you start of with "y'all"

Perhaps if you hadn't reopened a year old thread nobody would even have remembered anything about this, which would probably have been a better option!
