I think Beirich had an affair with someone who was sent to infiltrate some extremist groups, and funded him. To see her now go down for funding extremists groups is delicious beyond belief. "The indictment alleges that between 2007 and 2023, more than $4 million in donated funds were secretly funneled to people who infiltrated or were associated with violent extremist groups. Prosecutors said some of the money was used for recruiting new members and purchasing Ku Klux Klan robes and materials for cross-burning ceremonies." https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/former-splc-official-charged-in-justice-departments-broader-criminal-case-against-group She's still getting preferential treatment though, the prosecution declined to imprison her. Unbelievable. "In ankle cuffs and wearing a red T-shirt, Beirich made her initial court appearance for a bond hearing in Riverside, California, Wednesday afternoon. She did not enter a plea and U.S. Magistrate Judge David T. Bristow ordered her to surrender her passport and appear in court in Alabama within two weeks. The judge released Beirich on her own recognizance after prosecutors declined to file a request for detention." https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/former-splc-official-charged-in-justice-departments-broader-criminal-case-against-group
