I remember a local rag that wrote a feel good piece about me in my younger days returning a wallet I had found. While the facts were technically correct, it really was a bastardization of what actually happened. The author wasn't trying to throw shade on anyone, it was just wrong from start to finish.

Funny how these "mistakes" are always in the same direction.

He is the same BBC correspondent who a few years previously  posted a photo of a young girl lying on a hospital bed with bloodied clothes, with the caption “Heartbreaking, Pain in #Gaza” when it was later revealed that the photo of the young girl was actually taken in Syria ……

And as for the countless paedophiles the corporation has spawned. DEFUND, and make the BBC a subscription only service.

A much better comparison is to ABC Australia, who like the BBC are part government and part tax payer funded; and are both woke, left wing, vehemently antisemitic, and continually in breach of their impartiality charter.

Do you not understand the difference?

When I first came to Thailand the BBC was the gold standard of all the world’s media and journalism.

Now that world knows the only gold standard it has is for blatant lies and even more blatant bias which they arrogantly don’t even try to hide anymore.Shameful.

You seem to be completely missing the point; which is, that the BBC (and the ABC Australia) are both funded by both government subsidies and taxpayer contributions. As such they have a charter under which they agree to impartiality, something neither of them adhere to.

Any other privately funded News outlet are free to be as biased as they so choose. This thread is about the BBC.

This is not news. When the BBC actually tell the truth, that will be news

Unlike Fox and CNN, the BBC are governed by a charter and have to be balanced. As they get criticised by both the right & left, it can be seen that they're quite successful in covering both sides. A national treasure.

Let's make a list of truth percentages on news deliverers. I'm sure the BBC wouldn't be close to the top. Fox news, newsmax, etc would be up there.
