webfact Posted August 27, 2018 Share Posted August 27, 2018 PM chairs ceremony for construction of 2 monorail routes Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha this morning presided over a ceremony to launch the construction of Thailand’s first two monorail electric train routes which are scheduled to be open for services in 2021. The two electric train routes are the Pink Line (Khae Rai-Min Buri) and the Yellow Line (Lat Phrao-Samrong). Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang and executives of the BTS Group Holding and Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Plc also attended the ceremony, which was held at the Yellow Line construction site on Srinakarin road in Bang Na district. Remember those buses which are still sitting on a wharf somewhere waiting for Customs officials to receive their envelope. Another reminder is the soil breaking soiree for his elite friends well over a year ago for the new High Speed China/Thailand rail. Another non-event.
