PM chairs ceremony for construction of 2 monorail routes

 

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha this morning presided over a ceremony to launch the construction of Thailand’s first two monorail electric train routes which are scheduled to be open for services in 2021.

 

The two electric train routes are the Pink Line (Khae Rai-Min Buri) and the Yellow Line (Lat Phrao-Samrong).

 

Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang and executives of the BTS Group Holding and Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Plc also attended the ceremony, which was held at the Yellow Line construction site on Srinakarin road in Bang Na district.

This reminds me of the time two years ago when he was going to buy the fist ticket for the new metropolitan blue buses. Remember those buses which are still sitting on a wharf somewhere waiting for Customs officials to receive their envelope.

Another reminder is the soil breaking soiree for his elite friends well over a year ago for the new High Speed China/Thailand rail. Another non-event.

Like with anything else he says he is going to do...... nothing happens.

At least he keeps us entertained in his own funny way.
