Midway Through Second 60 Day Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Question:

Midway through a back to back tourist visa, entered on January 7th on second TV. No 30 day stamps in passport.

If I leave on vacation outside of LOS for a week, what happens? IE. Do I need a new tourist visa upon return, or can I have it stop and start up again with remaining time?

In other words, should I stay in LOS and then leave in end of March after I get 30 extension?

You can go to an immigartion office near where you are and ask for a re-entry permit. This will allow you to re-enter Thailand after your vacation and it will re-activate your current TV until the stamped expiry date (you wont get the remaining time that you didn't use in Thailand) Cost B1000. Then if you want to stay longer you can go back to the immigration office and get a 30 day extension to the TV for B1900 and some photos.
