If Price Was Not An Issue And You Had To Fly Economy To L.a...

The reason I ask is that my job is paying for a flight back home this April and the only stipulation is that it is an economy ticket.

If I upgrade I pay for all the upgrades myself (like upgrading to Evergreen Deluxe) - and I don't want to pay for anything so.....

Who has the best economy service to Los Angeles? Thai? EVA? Something else?

Thanks for the input!

Go for a direct non-stop flight with THAI...alternatively, Singapore Airlines has always been a hallmark of excellence :o

Singapore Air would be my choice also.

This is easy, TG 794 direct, non-stop service BKK-LAX.

As of 1 May TG ups the frequency to LAX to 6 times per week, and daily to JFK. TG also have Premium Economy on this route so if your employer springs for that so much the better.

Starting May 1, 2007, passengers can enjoy the comfort of THAI's A340-500 with the new Royal Silk Class and Premium Economy Class six times per week between Los Angeles and Bangkok on MON / WED / THU / FRI / SAT / SUN and seven days per week between New York and Bangkok on MON / TUE / WED / THU / FRI / SAT / SUN.

The Revised flights schedule is as follows: Between Los Angeles and Bangkok beginning 01 MAY 2007

Flight Nbr - - - Aircraft Type - - - - - - Days of Operation - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Departs - - - - Arrives

TG 795 - - - - - A340-500 - - - MON / WED / THU / FRI / SAT / SUN - - - - - LAX 2310 - - - BKK 0610+2

TG 794 - - - - - A340-500 - - - MON / WED / THU / FRI / SAT / SUN - - - - - BKK 1940 - - - LAX 2110

Between New York and Bangkok beginning 01 MAY 2007

TG 791 - - - - A340-500 - - MON / TUE / WED / THU / FRI / SAT / SUN - - NYC 1200 - - - BKK 1610+1

TG 790 - - - - A340-500 - - MON / TUE / WED / THU / FRI / SAT / SUN - - BKK 0040 - - - NYC 0635

Hands down go BKK-SIN-LAX

On Singapore Air.

More room, more comfortable and more entertainment options.

alternatively if you can convince you company that TG's Economy Premium is the same as Econ. go for that. about a 12,000THB price difference between Econ and Econ Premium but still not as much as Business or First.

Just bought my ticket on THAI for a direct flight to LA.

I decided that it was better to go for the direct option rather than spend the extra time flying to Singapore or Taipei and then on to LA.

I also flew THAI here to begin with and thought the economy section was quite nice. Thanks for all the input!
