New passport, WP?

When getting a new passport, do I have to inform the dept. of labor?

You need to transfer your current non immigrant visa into your new passport at the immigration office for a fee.  Should be sufficient, ask the immigration officer.

You will also need to notify your Thai bank of your new passport number. I got caught out by not doing this following my last passport renewal, when I attempted to obtain a new passbook which proved impossible until my new passport number had been safely logged in the bank's systems.

Thanks better I don't forget to go there with my old passport...  also you have the passport number on your thai driver's license. here again if you can show the previous one it saves you a trip to the police station or the transports office.

I never was charged for the last passport I did this with.

Anyway, the question I'm asking is about my work permit.
