Hi i am going to laos and want to get another tourist visa for thailand to continue travelling

I got my first from my home country

My second from laos

This one would also be from laos

May i have problems?  I get cash every now and then from home so i have money, maybe not as much as the normal traveler but normal for a lowbudget backpacker

If i have problems can i go and get a visa on arrival by land (30 day) without problems?

I am a british citz.

You do not give your nationality, which can sometimes be a factor.

You should be fine getting at least one more tourist visa from Laos, likely two more.

A visa exempt entry by land would also be fine. You are limited to two such entries (by land) in any calendar year.

Thanks!

I also currently reach the 20000 baht needed in my bank so not worried about financial terms.

When they ask for finacial proof is it when you submit your application? How likely is it that i will need this?

I think next time i might do a thai language course. Really loving the culture and attempted learning a bit, so im finally contemplating it ?

You shouldn’t have a problem getting another visa, or entering using visa exempt entry by land.

You may get questioned about your long term tourism. Your age (If young) might influence whether you’re questioned. If you do get questioned it’s advisable to have 20K in cash if entering with a visa, or 10K if entering visa exempt, although IO’s rarely ask to see cash. Hotel bookings and onward flights may also help if you have them.

Yes, but avoid the Poipet/Aranya crossing from Cambodia.  Also, if doing this via Malaysia, you may need to stay out at least one night before returning and are fairly-likely to be asked to show 10K Baht in cash or travelers checks (can be any readily-exchangeable currency, and 20K is better).  Having the money to show is always a good idea, as it is a written regulation on Visa-Exempt issuance.

I have just applied and been given my 3rd 60 days tourist visa in this current year, 2018, travelling from here in the UK,  one was obtained from the Hull Consulate and the other two from the London Embassy itself.

I am 21, so i figured hence why i am asking

I have over 20,000 baht in my bank account, plus another 3/4k in a different bank. Couldn't i just print out a bank statement?

I will be doing the vientiane embassy and border.

If you apply for a visa at an embassy/consulate that requires proof of 20K they should accept a printout of your bank account. They won’t accept cash.

When entering the country IF the IO wants to see 20K they will only accept cash and not a printout of your bank account.

You will not need financial proof to get the visa in Vientiane.

In practice, Thai immigration is unlikely to ask for financial proof. However, if they do ask, it must be in cash. They have no interest in looking at bank statements.
