Short extension of stay

Featured Replies

On my current visa, I am admitted into Thailand until 26 September 2018.  It would help me to be able to stay until 29 September 2018.

Would you please advise me how I could extend my stay a couple more days.  Thanks.

What type of visa entry do you have?

If you don't qualify for an extension you can apply for one, pay the 1900 baht fee and be granted 7 days to leave the country after it is denied.

Thanks.  I have a Non-Immigrant B visa.  My problem is that I'm not sure whether I'll be able to get the required documents together by 26 September.  Getting a few extra days would help.

If you can’t get the documents together in time to apply for the extension of stay you’ll need to leave, get another non ‘B’, and re-enter.

You can’t extend your stay after receiving 7 days to leave the country.

I see.  Thanks.  Does obtaining that 7-day grant generally require a single visit to Immigration? Also, could I obtain it at the Nontaburi Immigration Office?

One visit.

Yes it can be done at the Nonthaburi office.

Best to wait until it is close to the 26th incase you get the required paperwork done.
