Sattahip man stabbed lady boy with scissors because "she" didn't look like her profile picture

A serial thief arrested in Sattahip said that he stabbed his latest victim in the chest because it turned out to be a lady boy and not a woman.

But the transgender fought back with a punch of his own and the vicious thief was soon in custody.

Yesterday Sattahip police took Prayat "Golf" Uppatham, 31 of Bang Saray on a reenactment to the scene of his latest crime.

He had met Athiwat Duangthim, 45,  after chatting on B-Talk. He was cross that his victim was unlike the profile picture. He took Athiwat to somewhere quiet near the Huay Too reservoir where he told police he intended to kill him.

He got out scissors and stabbed him in the chest, bashed him with a blunt object on the head and then tried to steal his phone and cash. But Athiwat fought back, punched him and ran off to seek help with some locals.

Police soon had the assailant in custody, reported Workpoint News.

He admitted to meeting women he contacted on B-Chat on at least four occasions. He would say he wanted to sleep with them then steal their phones and cash.

But the lady boy put him in a murderous frame of mind.

He has initially been charged with assault and theft in the hours of darkness.

It's an impressive chat up line, though I'm surprised they were persuaded by the part about stealing their phones and cash.

It was the Al Capone moustache that pushed him over the edge.

What's with the pixelation of the hand cuffs?

Maybe, just maybe, the dude with the "moustache" isn't the actual victim, just a wild guess.

The pixellated cuffs on the one in the red shirt suggest that the one in black is the victim. However I've zoomed in and it looks like everyone in this sorry tale has a moustache, and possibly a touch of mascara.

Sooo , if attempting murder becomes the new reaction to “ didn’t look like her profile picture “ !! there’s gonna be a whole lotta attempting going on !!

I believe crimes in daylight are considered less severe here, lesser sentence/punishment.

Gota love that slick little racoon!

Should be locked up for life instead...

The pictures are mostly doctored. It is difficult to get a real picture on the internet

Not exactly but "theft in the hours of darkness" is more serious offence.

It's a re-enactment, victims don't take part in them!

No, he admitted to robbing them in the past, not killing them.  And he didn't kill anyone this time, either.

Wouldn't want to humiliate and cause loss of face to a criminal by showing them to be a criminal. Remember, truth is not allowed in Thailand when it involves causing anyone to lose face. You can be charged and sued. Thailand, where up is down and black is white. ?

"Thailand, where up is down and black is white."

And not to forget. Where women are men.

In many countries not to say most, there are those same laws saying in the hours of darkness, during the night is an aggravating circumstance! Most of those laws are very old, but understanding, at a time when cities were poorly lit and the majority of honest people were at home.
