SIM cards for Japan

Featured Replies

I require two SIM cards for a weekend in Tokyo.  I've read that I can purchase prepaid SIM cards in the basement of Swampy, which is handy as we'll be staying at the Swampy Novotel before flying to Narita.

Any better ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

Just reporting back to thank you again, KneeDeep.

My wife and I duly purchased two AIS SIM2Fly cards from the basement level of Swampy at 399 Baht each for 4GB of data and they worked like a dream in Tokyo.  Did a speed test and was hitting average 50mbps.  Google maps obviously came in extremely handy for two noobs to Tokyo.

We had a great time in Tokyo and rounded off with a trip to the tourist trap that is The Robot Restaurant which was an extremely enjoyable and bizarre two hours of our life.

The SIMs and Robot Restaurant come highly recommended from us.
