Hi Guys, I’m going to apply for the (NON-O): FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES on Monday.

Tomorrow I’ll go to the Canadian Embassy to get the affidavit for the monthly pension.

Two questions:

The amount must be over THB 65,000/month, but should the amount be written in Thai Baht? Or is Canadian $ ok?

Second, the Thai Immigration Website says: “(together with reference documents showing the source of said monthly pension)”. Am I correct in thinking that part is not necessary? Just the affidavit is enough?

Thanks!

It must be in Canadian dollars. Immigration will do the conversion.

You don’t, as a general rule, need to provide additional proof of income, but they can ask for it.
